When did you join Lawrance Furniture? How did you come to work here?
I began my career at Lawrance in April, 1987. Since then, I’ve helped hundreds, if not thousands, of clients furnish their homes locally and from coast to coast.
Why do you enjoy working at Lawrance? What’s your favorite thing about working in the furniture/design industry?
I love what I do! Helping clients create a home environment that is comfortable, inviting and reflects their unique personalities and lifestyle is a challenge I enjoy. My favorite thing about working as a designer is developing a relationship with my clients, while helping them create a beautifully furnished home.
What’s your favorite piece at Lawrance?
Choosing a favorite piece of Lawrance furniture is impossible- there are way too many fabulous options. However, I definitely appreciate the amazing designs and the engineering of our many multi-functional Italian motion pieces.
How would you describe your personal style?
I would describe my personal style as timeless contemporary. I like to integrate some “wow” pieces into my designs, while keeping the overall look clean and timeless.
Who’s your favorite designer?
There are so many great Italian designers that I like. The Italian furniture designers have brought their edge in the fashion world to their exciting furniture designs. I appreciate their flair for combining interesting shapes and finishes into their designs, while keeping comfort and longevity in mind.
What’s your favorite color?
When it comes to adding color to an interior space, I look to any existing finishes or art, along with the architecture and the adjacent outdoor space for inspiration. Bold, vibrant colors or more monochromatic tone on tone can often both be good options, depending on client preference. I generally prefer adding a “pop” of color to a more neutral palette.
List 2-3 fun facts about you.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me doing yoga, hiking, reading, playing with my grandson, or planning my next adventure. I’ve traveled to every continent except Antarctica, and I speak French and Spanish fluently.
